HERE'S WHAT THEY SAID ABOUT US

These guys were very attentive and considerate ahead of the wedding and did a great job of making us feel comfortable. They captured everything we wanted on the day and were very agreeable when it came to editing. We’ve yet to watch the video without crying!

LET US WALK YOU THROUGH OUR JOURNEY WITH
RYAN & DANIEL FOR THEIR WEDDING AT THE TRAFALGAR TAVERN

Before the wedding..

We first met Ryan and Daniel when they were attending another gay wedding we were filming in Somerset. We initially heard about their plans over Zoom, like most did during lockdown. From that initial call, we’d determined the broad scope of what they might be after in terms of their wedding photography and video, and how we can help them via the different packages we offer.

Even though we’d already filmed at the Trafalgar Tavern before, we always like to organise a recce so the couple have had a chance to walk through how their day will look with us. This is great for any nerve settling, getting to know one another, and also make sure we've discussed anything they may want in particular that we can give advice on. The recce was lovely because although we’d met them before as a team, we got to know them as a couple a lot better.

We were booked by Ryan & Daniel following this for a pre-wedding couples photoshoot. The idea of the shoot is to not only capture some lovely photos to look back on forever, but also to practise some scenes we act out on the big day for better efficiency, meaning they can get back to their guests much quicker, as we were all well rehearsed! We made them a lovely wedding guest book as well, that their guests could leave their best wishes in.

Taking the extra time to meet up enabled us to firstly understand that Ryan & Daniel were getting ready in multiple places, but also parking was difficult at this specific venue, which on the day could have caused a whole ordeal of being late and panic. Instead, we were well prepared and captured everything perfectly in-time.

The morning of..

By the the time Ryan & Daniel’s wedding day come around, we were all really familiar with one another and all genuinely so excited to celebrate the marriage of the two grooms . We always like to arrive early, so we can unload our kit, secure a base for ourselves inside the venue. On this occasion we had to set base and head out to both groom’s locations, then travel back with them. Daniel got a special hair cut in the morning he wanted captured specifically, so we arrived with him first. We had a wedding photographer attending both destinations in the morning, so all could be covered well. Our wedding videographer then was tasked with moving between, which we’d already made a pre-plan for to enable to capture what we needed.

Ryan and his groomsmen party arrive first, followed shortly by Daniel and his party. It was logistically planned with us so we could make sure they didn't see one another, but we also get our shots of arrivals and key aspects of when they first meet their guests. At this point, our wedding videographer was setting up multiple cameras and sound devices in the ceremony room, to ensure no angles were missed so we can produce our highlights wedding video.

The ceremony..

Everyone has arrived and we’re all ready to rock n’ roll! We already have a plan in place for the highlights film for a three camera set-up for the ceremony and our wedding photographer’s will split at the front and back. The Trafalgar Tavern is a beautiful venue, with views of the River Thames behind, so its important we had two photographers, because there isn’t much room for moving around without obstructing the aisle, and we hate doing that as its a bit of a distraction. However, just before this we got some extra time to capture the guests enjoying some arrival moments.

Being an experienced wedding video and photography team, we know where to be at the right time, so we even managed to capture the moments when Ryan and his team were nervously waiting to walk down the isle first, then also Daniel coming up the stairs with his party, before running to be in position for the ceremony..

For all of our wedding films, we use a subtle microphone so we can have lovely audio. This is so within our films, we can tell your story properly with a beautiful narrative driven story.

The big selling point with us is being personable wedding photographers and videographers, which meant Ryan and Daniel could enjoy their entire day without worrying who we are talking to or what we are up to. We love to mingle and get involved where possible, making your photography and video at your wedding day very relaxed and approachable.

Confetti & Group Photography..

Right after the ceremony is a key time to be organised and ready for the confetti and the group shots. The confetti shot takes a little bit of time to organise, so we usually ask for some help from either your toastmaster, or on this occasion the groomsmen’s parties. We like to ensure everyone has some confetti in their hands and everyone is on a cohesive line, so the confetti photos and video looks amazing, and didn’t it just!!

As a tip, we ask you to have a list of group shots to a number totalling to 10 or less. The reason being it can be very time consuming, and usually would end up then reducing our time in the wedding couples shoot, which is really important for the film and photography. We're experienced in what looks great, and will happily organise the group shots to what looks best, and of-course we're more than happy to take guidance on something you've seen before.

The couple's shoot & wedding reception..

It's time for the wedding couples photoshoot and here is the prime opportunity for the killer shots of the day. Remember, we’re all well rehearsed by this point of the area and the type of shots we all like to see afterwards. The shoot was seamless and we captured some gorgeous wedding photos of the happy couple.

The key part of working with us is the element of fun, and nothing too forced. We work with scenes rather than posed shots, so that way we can capture the real elements of what our couples have to offer, and what better place to go for a walk was the River Thames right next to Greenwich University. The opportunity to capture some stunning London wedding photographer was there, and they got it!

In this particular wedding photography and video package, there were three crew members, and we worked together throughout to capture the full coverage, so nothing was missed while we're off shooting with Ryan & Daniel because we had a photographer still at the venue.

The wedding breakfast & speeches..

Just before everyone gets into the room, we like to capture some details while it’s pristine so Ryan and Daniel can remember how the room looked. It’s also a great chance for the team to get set up for the speeches, which is another multi camera set up and audio recorded section in our wedding video packages.

We're then on hand to capture all the entrance photography and video, which then went into the speeches after some food. At the point catering begins, we tend to have a rest and have some food too, as no one wants to be filmed or photographed while eating.

The speeches were amazing, and gave us really nice options for the narrative approach we take to our wedding videography. On hand our photographer also captured all of the lovely moments that were introduced via the speeches, as well as the guests reactions. We tend to have two cameras set-up for the filming so we can guarantee a longer edit later down the line if Ryan & Daniel fancy seeing it! Not only this, but it allows our videographer to work efficiently knowing one angle is secured, so has more freedom to capture the intricacies as well as the guests and their laughs, smiles and cries as the speeches continue.

The evening antics, cake cutting and first dance..

The first dance and cake cutting moments were something to look back on in awe. The guys didn’t dance for too long before wanting their guests to join them. At this point is a great chance for everyone to let their hair down and we capture some lovely moments of interaction and pure joy. We do offer extra hours for that real content to be highlighted for you.
