HERE'S WHAT THEY SAID ABOUT US

"From our first meeting with the guys at Unveil we knew there was something special about them. On our wedding day they were a dream to work with and made everyone feel so comfortable. All our guests also commented on how amazing they were. As for our photos and video, all we can say is STUNNING! We couldn’t be happier with results and have had so many complements from our friends and family. Thanks again Brydn and Ian, you guys are simply the best!"

LET US WALK YOU THROUGH OUR JOURNEY WITH LAUREN & KIERAN FOR THEIR WEDDING AT THE BARNS AT LODGE FARM

Before the wedding..

We first met Lauren & Kieran when they got in touch with via our website. We organised a Zoom call where we could firstly hear about their plans. From that initial call, we’d determined the broad scope of what they might be after in terms of their wedding photography and video, and how we can help them via the different packages we offer. Also, we got a really strong sense that this wedding could be very fun, as we had lots in common!

We organised a recce of their venue in Epping, called The Barns at Lodge Farm. Brydn was on a bit of a health kick and decided he’d walk from Epping tube station, which he regretted 90 mins in! We always like to organise a recce so the couple have had a chance to walk through how their day will look with us. This is great for any nerve settling, getting to know one another, and also make sure we've discussed anything they may want in particular that we can give advice on.

Taking the extra time to meet up enabled us to understand even more how much we had in common, both being based in East London, huge fans of garage music and the pub, and how much we were going to enjoy each other’s company as the relationship builded towards the day. It was a great chance to also meet the team at The Barns at Lodge Farm so when the day come around, everything was familiar.

The morning of..

We arrive early at all of our weddings. This is so we can get set-up in good time, meet more of the venue team and introduce ourselves to anyone who doesn’t know us yet. When we include drone, like at this wedding, it’s a great opportunity to get all of the cutaway venue drone footage we need before the day even starts.

At this point we already know the bride and groom so well, that when we arrived it was all hugs and catching up. We were actually shocked to find out they’d booked a make-up artist we’ve worked with previously and are friends with, as well as a hair team we attended a wedding with too. It was such a great morning of catching up, and incredible energy.

We utilised this energy to the max, capturing shots of the girls in their gowns having a party, once they were dressed drinking champagne and of-course, dancing to garage music!

It wasn’t only the bride and her bridesmaids in the party mood, the groomsmen and his team were fired up too. Our photographer took them out in the morning with our videographer to capture some really energetic scenes, including playing football! That was a first for us and we loved every minute.

Guests arrived sooner than expected as it was way out in the farmlands of Epping, so there was lots of opportunity to work ahead and get some lovely interaction shots as well.

The ceremony..

For this wedding, a two camera set up was the only achievable outcome as the barn room was quite small, but we made it work really well. The barn aesthetics and flower combo Henrietta Flowers was to die for. Once everyone was in, the nerves kicked in a little bit but I can’t explain the positive energy flowing around the entire venue, well I guess you can check the images and footage!

Being an experienced wedding video and photography team, we know where to be at the right time, so we’d planned for one wedding photographer and the wedding videographer to be inside waiting focused on the groom, whilst our third member photographer captured the nerves and excitement as the bride and her bridesmaids made their way across the courtyard.

For all of our wedding videos, we use a subtle microphone so we can have lovely audio. This is so within our films, we can tell your story properly with a beautiful narrative driven wedding story.

The big selling point with us is being personable wedding photographers and videographers, and with Lauren & Kieran they made sure we were included in everything like we’d known them for years. We love to mingle and get involved where possible, making your photography and video at your wedding day very relaxed and approachable.

Confetti & Group Photography..

Right after the ceremony is a key time to be organised and ready for the confetti and the group shots. The confetti shot takes a little bit of time to organise, so we usually ask some help from either your toastmaster, or on this occasion the groomsmen. We like to ensure everyone has some confetti in their hands and everyone is on a cohesive line, so the confetti photography and video looks amazing, and didn’t it just!!

As a tip, we ask you to have a list of group shots to a number totalling to 10 or less. The reason being it can be very time consuming, and usually would end up then reducing our time in the wedding couples shoot, which is really important for the film and photography. We're experienced in what looks great, and will happily organise the group shots to what looks best, and of-course more than happy to take guidance on something you've seen before. However, for the big group shot, it would be rude not to get the wedding drone video of everyone celebrating together, right?

The couple's shoot & wedding reception..

It's time for the wedding couples photoshoot and here is the prime opportunity for the killer shots of the day. We had a plan that we organised on the recce to follow, which was silo’s, fields and barns!

The key part of working with us is the element of fun, and nothing too forced. We work with scenes rather than posed shots, so that way we can capture the real elements of what our couples have to offer, and what better place to go for a walk was the fields of Epping and the grounds of the Barns at Lodge Farm! We basically danced our way round the entire venue to capture some fun, energetic content that really encapsulated the emotions of the day perfectly.

In this particular wedding photography and video package, there were three crew members, and we worked together throughout to capture the full coverage, so nothing was missed while we're off shooting with Lauren & Kieran because we had a photographer still at the venue.

The wedding breakfast & speeches..

Just before everyone gets into the room, we like to capture some details while it’s pristine so Lauren & Kieran can remember how the room looked. We took them for a short walk, including a photo with the Tuck Tuck they hired. It’s also a great chance for the team to get set up for the speeches, which is another multi camera set up and audio recorded section in our wedding video packages.

We're then on hand to capture all the entrance photography and video, which then went into the speeches after some food. At the point catering begins, we tend to have a rest and have some food too, as no one wants to be filmed or photographed while eating.

The speeches were amazing, and gave us really nice options for the narrative approach we take to our wedding videography. On hand our photographers also captured all of the lovely moments that were introduced via the speeches, as well as the guests reactions. Lauren did an emotion speech herself which we ended up using to complete the narrative emotional ending to the video.

We tend to have two cameras set-up for the filming so we can guarantee a longer edit later down the line if Lauren & Kieran fancy seeing it! Not only this, but it allows our videographer to work efficiently knowing one angle is secured, so has more freedom to capture the intricacies as well as the guests and their laughs, smiles and cries as the speeches continue.

The evening antics, cake cutting and first dance..

Well then, the first dance and cake cutting was one of our favourites we’ve experienced. The fun involved and party going nature was right up our street. From mushing cake into Kieran’s face, to confetti canons we set off as the music dropped, it was amazing from start to finish. The DJ was a friend of theirs, who actually remixed one of their favourite songs, which we then arranged and planned the canons to be set off at the specific moment. As it did, they went right into raving, gun fingers, bodies loose and just pure energy. We actually got involved ourselves on this one!!

The finale..

To finish up on the day we went for our final walk on the fields next door. The sunset was unreal, the cornfields lit up like a glistening shimmery lake of sunlight. The sunset wedding photography and sunset wedding videography was some of our favourite shots we have taken to date, but we weren’t finished there.. suddenly we could all hear garage music playing from the venue, so we all legged it inside to rave one last time before going home! What an incredible day this one was.
